  • Frequently asked questions

    • From what time can I check in?

      You can check in as of 3:00 PM. Would you like to check in earlier? An early check-in is possible as of 12:30 PM, in which case you will pay a supplement of € 35.

    • Until what time can I check out?

      You can check out until 11:00 AM. On Sundays, you can check out until noon. Would you like to check out later? A late check-out is possible until 2:00 PM, in this case you will pay a supplement of € 35. As late as 6:00 PM (subject to availability) is also possible, in this case you will pay a supplement of 50% of the room rate.

    • What does wellness involve?

      The wellness is equipped with infrared seats, hammam, sauna and an experience shower. Use of the wellness is included in the room rate. Our wellness is fully privatised and therefore always on reservation. The wellness can be booked for 1 hour. You can book a time slot via reception. The wellness is open daily from 8:00 to 22:00. You can only book the wellness as a hotel guest.

    • Can I use a fitness?

      Use of the fitness facilities is included in the room rate. Availability is subject to wellness bookings. You can book a time slot via reception. The fitness area is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

    • How can I book my breakfast?

      You can decide whether or not you want to have breakfast via our website, or until check-in. The reception will always ask you when you check in. Breakfast for adults (12 years and older) costs € 30 per person per day. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM in Bistro Richard. A breakfast for children (6 - 12 years) costs € 15 per person per day, a breakfast for toddlers (3 - 6 years) costs € 7.50 per person per day. Breakfast outside is only possible on reservation and according to availability. If you wish to have breakfast outside, you can make a reservation via 011 58 68 18.

    • Where can I park my (electric) vehicle?

      Our hotel has two car parks, both are free of charge. The first car park is just in front of the estate. The second car park is located within the estate. The car park within the estate is equipped with bicycle racks, charging posts for electric bicycles and electric cars, and is locked at night. Both car parks are equipped with camera surveillance. Kasteel van Ordingen cannot be held liable for any damage, loss, or theft. Parking for disabled people is provided at the rear of the castle.

    • What are the dining options at Kasteel van Ordingen?

      The gastronomic restaurant Aurum and Bistro Richard are located on the grounds of Kasteel van Ordingen. If you wish to have lunch or dinner in our gastronomic restaurant Aurum, you can make a reservation online or by phone +32 (0)11 58 68 18. We advise you to book in time, so that you can be sure of a place. Restaurant Aurum closes on Saturday afternoon, Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday. If you would like to have lunch or dinner in Bistro Richard, you can make a reservation online or by phone +32 (0)11 58 68 18. Bistro Richard is open every day from noon to 10:00 PM. The kitchen is open continuously from noon to 21:30.

    • Is there a hotel bar?

      Yes, our hotel bar is the ideal place to enjoy a glass of champagne, special cocktails, local beers or a great selection of spirits. The bar is open from Sunday to Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (last order at 10:30 PM) and from Thursday to Saturday from 3:00 PM to midnight (last order at 11:30 PM). We also present the bill along with the final order so that our team can start the next working day fresh in the morning.

    • What are the cancellation conditions?

      Individual guests (up to 10 persons) can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. Different cancellation conditions apply to any group reservation from 6 rooms and/or meeting and event reservations from 10 people. These can be found in your customised quotation.

    • Are there any additional costs if more people want to stay in my room?

      If an additional guest wishes to stay in your room, an extra bed can be placed. Extra beds can only be placed in the following room types: Junior suite, Suite or Executive suite. 2 extra beds can only be placed in an Executive suite. An extra bed costs € 45, placing a cot costs € 25.

    • Can I get room service in my room?

      You can order room service round the clock via the reception desk (call 32). If you ask for room service, a supplement of € 10 per room service will be charged.

    • What are the payment options?

      We accept payments by Mastercard, Visa, Bancontact, Maestro, American Express or in cash.

    • Can I rent a bike?

      There are numerous cycle routes in Sint-Truiden and its surroundings, which are part of the Limburg Cycling Paradise (2000 km of mainly car-free cycle paths). To hire an E-bike, contact to the reception desk. The rental fee for an E-bike is € 40 per day.

    • Are pets allowed?

      Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Kasteel van Ordingen.
