At Bistro Richard, we are looking for a kitchen team member.


Located in the beautiful courtyard of the Kasteel van Ordingen, Bistro Richard serves regional bistro classics.


Bistro Richard is part of the five-star Kasteel van Ordingen hotel, a true gem in the heart of Haspengouw (near Sint-Truiden and Hasselt). The castle estate also includes 32 rooms and suites, restaurant Aurum, a wellness area, fitness, a maximalist lounge, 3 meeting rooms for business gatherings, as well as a pear orchard and vineyard. As a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, we strive to offer our guests an exceptional experience in a warm and authentic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of dishes and ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Work closely with fellow kitchen and service colleagues
  • Manage stock levels and ensure sufficient supply
  • Prepare dishes for lunch and dinner
  • Handle mise en place
  • Maintain and clean kitchen equipment
  • Adhere to safety and HACCP regulations in the kitchen
  • Continuously innovate and aim for excellent service for our guests

Profile

  • Culinary training and/or relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Passion and talent for hospitality
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Creative and a true team player
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and service-oriented
  • Proactive, stress-resistant, and accurate
  • Solution-oriented with a hands-on mentality
